PUBLIC HEALTH LEADERSHIP INTEREST GROUP

The purpose of the Public Health Leadership Interest Group is to inform members updated on leadership opportunities in the Florida Public Health sector, encourage opportunities to gain leadership and systems thinking skills as identifies in the Core Competencies for Public Health Professionals (hyper link to http://www.phf.org/resourcestools/Documents/Core_Competencies_for_Public_Health_Professionals_2014June.pdf) and identify emerging leaders within the state.

During 2020, the Public Health Leadership Interest Group aims to:

  • Assess current interest group member’s leadership tier (entry level, supervisor/program manager, executive management).
  • Feature a leadership article in the FPHA newsletter.
  • Facilitate mentorship, networking, and learning through conference calls, webinars, meet ups and online courses.
  • Continue to inform its members of upcoming leadership opportunities and skill building trainings.
