ROBIN NAPIER

MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP FUND

The Florida Public Health Association has created a scholarship in memory of Robin Napier. A long-standing FPHA member, former FPHA President, and successful Health Officer for the Florida Department of Health. Robin had been a DOH family member for over 25 years, starting in Putnam County as an accountant and eventually she became Health Officer in 2008. In 2012 she was appointed as Health Officer in Hernando County. Robin served in several interim Health Officer roles over the years along with numerous committees and organizations like FPHA and FACCHO. Robin excelled in her position as Health Officer and represented what true leadership is for public health.

The Robin Napier Memorial Scholarship will help support professional development opportunities for women in the public health field. The goal would be to support women who have a desire to grow in the field of public health, specifically within the Florida Department of Health. Scholarship details forthcoming, but the intent is to provide this scholarship each year at the annual educational conference.
